Restoration
Restoration and build costs are on a per hour basis. Customer will provide a deposit based on a discussion about wants/needs and necessities. Contract will be written based upon this discussion. HAR will provide weekly statements of work. We keep work logs on each vehicle with start and stop work times, description of work completed. Go HERE to see an example of the work log. This is a standard means of pricing for the restoration industry due mainly to hidden issues which prevent fixed price estimates. IF you do get a fixed price estimate from someone, rest assured that it is probably grossly inflated to cover rebuild contingencies.
Routine and Preventive Maintenance
We do all type of routine and preventive maintenance. Pricing is based on an hourly rate of $45 plus labor manual rate for the specific vehicle. We maintain a library of labor manuals. Parts are NOT priced on the list price of the parts house, but on our actual cost plus a reasonable profit margin. Parts are chosen based on customer requests and needs. Customers MAY provide their own parts, however, these parts are not warranted.
Mechanical repairs
Upholstery
YES, we do upholstery in-house. We can do repairs, complete custom seat covers, seat rebuilds, door panels, headliners, custom
seats and interiors, including door panels. We will build a complete custom interior including metal fabrication. Pricing is
quoted based on customer needs and desires.
Two bench seat seat covers estimate range from $600 (one color vinyl, your pattern.)
Electrical troubleshooting and repair
Paint and Body
Body labor rate is $30 per hour. Paint pricing is based upon quotation only.
Detailing
Price by quotation based upon current conditions and desired results.
Mechanical Inspection
$300 for a complete mechanical inspection and detailed report of the findings. Mechanical inspection includes: compression check of each cylinder, brakes, electrical, coolant, transmission, suspension, accessories.
Structural Inspection
$300 for a complete structural inspection and detailed report. This inspection includes a body panel and interior inspection with documentation of rust, damage, trim damage, frame, interior condition, paint evaluation, seals, and body panel alignment.
Pre-purchase Evaluation
$100 plus travel costs, if required. This evaluation is to assess the condition of the vehicle based on the price being asked and providing an opinion to our customer. This is NOT an in-depth mechanical or structural inspection though those can be completed in association with this pre-purchase evaluation.
We are a hot rod, custom and restoration shop. We will complete any portion of your build or restoration.
